Stork Raving Mad, by Donna Andrews

Stork Raving Mad: A Meg Langslow Mystery (Meg Langslow Mysteries) Very fast and funny addition to Donna Andrew's long-lasting bird series. Meg Lanslow, blacksmith, is pregnant with twins, yet she and husband Michael are still hosting an amazing amount of guests- students of Michael's from Caerphilly College, where the heat has malfucnctioned. The ususal amusing supporting cast of secondary characters continue to entertain, and despite a busy plot involving lots of academic shenanigans, it was a blast to read, and still looking forward to the next.

We'll Always Have Parrots, by Donna Andrews

Very funny Meg Lanslow mystery, this one set at a convention for fans of a fantasy show that her boyfriend, actor and drama professor Michael is on.

Swan for the Money, by Donna Andrews

Another fun, fast paced funny Meg Langslow mystery. Not a whole lot more to say about that.

Six Geese A-Slaying, by Donna Andrews

The latest Meg Lanslow mystery by Donna Andrews. I enjoy these hugely. There it is- I am a huge fan.

In this one, Meg has been drafted/coerced into heading the annual Caerphilly Christmas Parade, and, of course, chaos ensues. With more than the usual wacky crew of animals (including of course, the small evil one Spike and First Llama Ernest), floats paying homage to every line in the darned song are filled with costumed geese, swans, pipers, drummers, and so on.

A fun read, and what more can you ask for? Well, I guess at times, one wants something else, but when you want a fun and comfortable read, well, these are like the favorite fuzzy pants you pull on when it's snowing.

Revenge of the Wrought Iron Flamingos, by Donna Andrews

Oddly incoherent Meg Lanslow mystery. Still, fun, but I was so addled by the end I'm still not really sure why "who done it" done it. But anyway, her books are always kind of fun in that Caerphilly (Virginia not Wales) way, what with the kooky relatives and the iron-smithing and the hey hey.

The Penguin Who Knew Too Much, Donna Andrews

I like her mysteries, but this one was a little not as funny as usual. Still, like the Meg Lanslow character and the supporting cast, and even her worst books are better than many author's best books.
