This was such a sweet, strange, and poignant little book.
Mrs. 'Arris (Harris) is a London char, who one day sees a Dior dress in an employer's closet, and becomes filled with longing to have one of her own.
It was really lovely, this book- it made me cry.
And it made me want to go to France.
